What are Oxford shoes?

Oxford shoes can be defined by three factors. Men's oxford style shoes fit snugly under your ankle, are low-heeled, and have a closed lacing system that is stitched around the bottom (near your toes).

What makes Oxford shoes for men different from other shoes?

In contrast to the derby or blucher, which feature open lacings, the tongue on an oxford shoe is only exposed on the upper edge. Oxford style shoes are typically crafted from leather and are regarded as formal footwear, suitable for business or formal occasions but this is not a fixed rule.

Which occasions are suitable for wearing Oxford shoes?

Oxfords are versatile enough to work for any occasion - casual or formal.  If you want a polished look for any formal function or event, Oxford shoes will do the trick. They can enhance a suited look and add a stylish touch. The best way to pull off a smart casual look with Men's Oxfords is to select the right pair of pants. Oxford shoes are best worn with jeans and chinos for an aesthetic yet simple look.

Why should I choose an Oxford Shoe?

The versatility and timeless style of Oxford shoes allow them to be worn both formally and casually. Whether you're wearing pants, chinos, or jeans, men's dress shoes, the Oxfords in particular are a perfect match for any occasion.

Oxfords or Loafers? Which would make a better summer footwear choice?

Oxfords and loafers each offer distinct advantages for summer footwear: Oxfords provide a classic, elegant look perfect for formal occasions, while loafers offer a more casual and comfortable style, ideal for relaxed summer days and easier to slip on and off.

However, t's important to note that the choice can vary significantly based on specific models. For instance, though traditionally more formal, Oxford dress shoes with breathable, perforated designs can be an excellent summer choice, offering both elegance and comfort suitable for warmer weather. Therefore, the ideal option depends on the particular style and features of the shoe, aligning with your personal needs and the occasions you plan to attend.

Derby V Oxford- What is the difference?

Oxfords are famous for being formal shoes. Meanwhile, Derbies are generally considered to be a less formal shoe than the Oxford. In practical terms, the only distinction between a Derby and an Oxford is the stitching method of the lace. Open stitching is characteristic of Derbies, while closed stitching is characteristic of Oxfords. For further details take a glimpse at our blog

What do I need to consider when choosing the shoe size?

A properly fitted pair of leather shoes should have a firmer fit than casual shoes, but they should not be uncomfortable. You should be able to ensure that the shoes fit properly with no slippage in the heel. It is important to have a firm feeling across the ball of your feet, as this area will stretch out and soften as you wear the shoes, especially if they are leather.

Where are Debbano shoes designed and made?
